The Sea

Two strangers, Achira and Samudra wash ashore in one shared accommodation in the maddening city of Mumbai. Despite the differences in their present occupations and past wars they fought, their understanding of life’s luminescence and dark, conversations role. Words give birth to eloquent silences, silences melt away with words oozing from deep within.

Written in an unique dialogic form and masterfully translated by V.Ramaswamy, “The Sea” also quietly celebrates its ecofeminist bearing as it attempts to reveal the inner lives of humans as they weave words to connect, to acknowledge fall and rise beyond, to live and be free.
