Our Team at Vasanth Nagar
Sindhu M, Bookstore Administrator
Sindhu manages the day-to-day functioning of the Bangalore store. She loves chocolate, watching movies, and spending time with her friends.
Hajira Fathima, Bookseller
Hajira manages inventory, food, and online orders at our Vasanth Nagar store. Besides eating ice cream, she likes to spend her time knitting and applying mehendi.
Chitra, Bookseller
Chitra runs the front desk at Champaca Vasanth Nagar. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking new recipes and travelling to new places.
Indira
Indira works in the Champaca kitchen, adding care and attention to every cup of coffee and snack. She loves cooking, making rangolis, and taking selfies.
Sarita
Sarita works in our kitchen, making sure things run smoothly both inside the kitchen and out. Her free time is filled with devotional songs, and she values cleanliness.
Naga
Naga looks after housekeeping at our Vasanth Nagar store. She loves animals and can always be found feeding the cats, dogs, and plants on Edward Road. She is always happy to strike up a conversation, with customers, kids, and any animal she meets.

Taiba
Taiba is a writer, artist, and bookseller at our Indiranagar store. She reads across different genres based on her mood. She loves painting and spending time with her cats.
Gokul
Gokul works as a bookseller in our Indiranagar store. In his free time, Gokul loves listening to music, travelling, and exploring new restaurants across the city.
Hema
Hema works as a bookseller at our Indiranagar location. She’s interested in designing clothes, loves dance, and enjoys watching movies and reading books.

Nirica, Curator
Nirica curates for Champaca. She likes short stories, reading about music and film, and books with ambiguous endings, but really she'll pick up anything that catches her eye. At any point in time, she is reading at least six books.

Akshatha used to be a software developer before joining Champaca. Now she helps out with bookselling and the occasional call to set up the bill printer. She’s been having a nice time reading from the store’s shelves.

Radhika is the proprietrix of Champaca. She spends much of her time figuring out how to run an independent bookstore, while also reading and spending time with her dog, cat, and plants.

Thejaswi Shivanand, Curator & Children's Library Educator
When Thejaswi began reading in childhood, the Indian tectonic plate was farther away from the Eurasian plate by 66 cm. He likes to track the consequences of this plate movement during annual hikes in the Himalayas while continuing to read history, geology, natural history, music, picture books, and much fiction while in Bangalore.
