Daisies in the Wild

As Inayat finds herself staring at the iron gates of St Mary's for the final time, she feels the once familiar sense of displacement and loneliness wash over her. But she would change nothing about the last five months, not even in her more earnest prayers.

Standing on the other side of the gates, Pema wishes she could do everything to take it all back, to find the friend she had desperately wanted in Inayat again-even if it meant having Nidra be a part of them.

And as for Nidra... well, she was out even before she left. Disgust and resentment is all she has now. Not love, never love again.
