We are very excited to announce the third event in our Champaca homegrown series, Books for Now: a conversation on trans writing and literature with two extraordinary authors, Jordy Rosenberg and Kai Cheng Thom, and hosted by Kavya Murthy. Kai Cheng Thom is the author of Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars: A Dangerous Trans Girl's Confabulous Memoir, and Jordy Rosenberg is the author of Confessions of the Fox. Join us on Youtube Live on June 26, 2021 7:00pm IST onwards.

Books for Now is our homegrown series of events that spotlight books of deep impact that speak to happenings and processes in contemporary society. We have had two events so far - one on Hannah Arendt's Origins of Totalitarianism, and another on an autobiography of Dalit writer Siddalingiah in India, called A World With You, World.

Jordy Rosenberg is the author of the forthcoming hybrid work
The Day Unravels What the Night Has Woven, the novel Confessions of the Fox, and a scholarly monograph about 18th-century religious enthusiasts. Jordy is a professor at The University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

Kai Cheng Thom is a writer, performer, somatic coach and conflict resolution professional based in Toronto/tkaronto, Canada. She is the author of four award-winning books, including the novel Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars: A Dangerous Trans Girl's Confabulous Memoir. Kai Cheng has published widely on trauma, trans rights, and Transformative Justice.
