We’re branching out of our leafy home in Bangalore – and opening a new bookstore at Anjuna in Goa. It’s a sweet little house – white walls, red-tiled roof, lined with wooden bookshelves and shaded by tall coconut trees. This cosy surprise sits in the lush gardens of Mahé – a modern coastal cuisine hotspot in North Goa.
Here too, our shelves are bursting with books inviting you into many wonderful, wicked worlds. Dip your toes into our crime and mystery rack. Dive into our science fiction and fantasy shelves. Or plunge into our translations selections and discover little universes unto themselves. Or choose your own adventure: swimming between our various genre sections for your perfect catch of the day. You won’t be disappointed, we promise.
We’ve also expanded on our books for children section: find delicious picture books (you might want to steal them!), thrilling adventures and even those that will tease them into learning more about the planet. There’s something for everyone – across all ages here.
We have also carefully curated offerings from Goa-based authors and independent publishers that will give you a new flavour of the Sunshine State. Learn about its amazing architecture. Leap into the stories of nostalgia. Or look into the fast-changing future. Our Goa-focussed collection allows for you to experience the magic behind the mayhem.
We are launching the bookstore on the 5th of November at 6pm with an evening that celebrates all things Goa! Panaji-based spoken word poet Rochelle D’silva and musician Zane Rodrigues along with Saligao-based author Heta Pandit will craft an evening of rhythm, line breaks and folk songs from this state. Later in November, we’ll host a reading circle and activity session for your little ones.
Swing by before getting lunch or evening cocktails. (Pssst. There’s even a gelato shop nearby.) Drop by on your way to the beach to find that pacy beach read you deserve! Turn into a favourite aunt and uncle and gift books! Let us be your guides to newer adventures.
See you in Goa! Come, say hi! Buy a book! Browse our bookshelves! We’d love to see each and everyone of you!
Cheers!
