What if storytime didn’t end with the last page?
Storybox is a read-aloud programme for children that invites them to step inside stories through listening, movement, art, and play.
Designed in collaboration with SkilLit Readers, the sessions are intentional, playful, and rooted in books. The focus is on helping children listen deeply, imagine freely, and engage with stories beyond the act of reading alone.

What happens in each session
Each session begins with a shared read-aloud, where children are introduced to language, expression, and storytelling through voice and listening.
Across the four sessions, we will be reading:
The Detective Dog by Julia Donaldson
Beauty is Missing by Priya Kuriyan
Bumoni's Banana Trees by Meeta Bordaloy
Cat's Diwali by Sarah H. Paul
This is followed by guided, immersive activities using movement, art, and play. These activities help the story stay with the child, encouraging them to think, question, imagine, and respond in their own ways.
The sessions are unhurried, thoughtful, and designed to build curiosity, empathy, and a lasting relationship with books.
