About the Book:

Slow Is Beautiful is an invitation to embark on a journey through mindfulness and to cut through the clutter and noise of the world around you. Under the guidance of artist and visual designer Ahlawat Gunjan, you'll learn to see, observe, reflect, and practice using artistic techniques developed through years of training to rekindle a lost instinct. This beautiful collector's edition prepares you to welcome a new artistic vision into your life by building a relationship with form, colour, and composition in a uniquely accessible way.

Each of the sixty easy-to-use prompts in this book is an essential step highlighted by vibrant ink and watercolour paintings inspired by nature, created and curated by the artist himself to motivate readers to draw, erase, paint, experiment, create and, most importantly, embrace their mistakes.

About the Walk:

The aim of the walking workshop will be to seek inspiration from the natural environment through a process of close observation, slow drawing and playful mark-making. Using all of their senses, participants will be encouraged to bring in those experiences into their artworks, thereby distilling natural shapes and forms into your creative practice, and how they can use these works to inspire their own creative journey. Integrating this inspiration into your own work, we will be exploring all possible mediums from ink, to collage, colour mixing and layering to play with various ideas. I will also talk about making your own tools with natural and found materials on the walk and how to creatively integrate them and thereby developing a signature toolkit.

This workshop is intended for anyone and everyone from all walks of life, who is looking for a new approach, or simply to refresh your existing technique.
