Swoop into our Vasanth Nagar store on Sunday, 20th July, for a delightful and engaging discussion on Rohan Chakravarty’s BIRD BUSINESS, a book that dives into the lives, antics, and dramas of Indian birds like never before. Moderated by our very own Radhika Timbadia, the session promises to be fascinating, informative, and full of fun.
Here are the details of the event:
Date: 20 July 2025, Sunday
Time: 6PM
Venue: Champaca Bookstore, Vasanth Nagar
Since there is limited seating, we recommend that you confirm your spot soon!About the book:
What do you see when you watch a bird?
There is plumage to admire, identification marks to look out for, and song to lose oneself in. But beyond all this is their behaviour – the stealth of the hunter, the charisma of a male out to woo his mate and the sheer exuberance of flight. All of this explodes in brilliant colour and detail in the illustrations that light up this book. Rohan uniquely weaves together art and science with his trademark humour to give you a ringside seat to the daily dramas that make up the lives of birds. This is a book that goes beyond field guides and documentaries to help you see birds as never before.
About the speakers:

He is best known as the creator of Green Humour, a series of cartoons on wildlife and conservation which was the first Indian comic series to be picked up by an international distributor. His books include three Green Humour compilations, Naturalist Ruddy and The Great Indian Nature Trail with Chunmun.
