Tenzin Tsundue had momentary global celebrity in Jan 2002 when he scaled 14 floors of mumbai hotel to greet Zhu Rongji then premier of the People's Republic Of China with a Free Tibet banner and a Tibetan national flag. In India, land of this exile brith, his poems and his activist patriotism had already won him a following amongst younger, more politically aware Tibetan refugees.
