About the Book:

In Rootless and Restless, Shivya Nath trades comfort for adventure and sets off on a deeply personal journey to some of our planet’s most remote places. About the Author:

Shivya Nath is an award-winning travel writer and bestselling author. She spent nearly seven years living out of two bags, spending time with local communities from Iran to Patagonia. Her words have appeared in BBC Travel, National Geographic Traveller and Lonely Planet, among other publications.

She is a recipient of the prestigious NATJA and Lowell Thomas travel journalism awards. Her latest book, Rootless and Restless is based on her slow travel adventures in some of the world’s most remote places, and reminds us of our shared humanity in an increasingly divided world.

Vasanthi Hariprakash is an award-winning journalist, multilingual speaker, and Founder & CEO of Pickle Jar Media. With over two decades of experience across leading platforms like NDTV 24x7, The New Indian Express, All India Radio, and Radio City, she is known for her compelling storytelling and sharp insights on media, leadership, and the future of work. 

Her work has been recognized with several honours including the Laadli Award for Gender Sensitivity in Journalism (twice 2020, 2023), PRCI Dazzling Daughter Award (2014), the Radio Excellence Award for India’s RJ of the Year (2007), and the Bangalore Press Club Journalist of the Year Award (2022).
