The Lady Perfumer

A narrative in verse about love lost and found, and the magic of scent. The Lady Perfumer is a collection of poems through which the story of a woman named Aparajita (the protagonist) is narrated. The story is set against the backdrop of Kozhikode (also known as Calicut) one of the districts in the southern state of Kerala in India. The nature of the job takes her to various places around the world. In between her travels she is secretly searching for that perfect cologne that has been lingering in her mind from teenage days. She travels across Paris, Turkey and finally comes back to Kozhikode (Calicut) in the end.
