Colours Caught In Mist is the English translation of Govind Mishra's Hindi novel Kohre Mein Quaid Rang, a work of considerable maturity and craft. It is a novel written about the days past while it is being discussed in the present. It is thus a novel within a novel. In yet another innovation, fiction slips into life and vice versa. Two periods of time are juxtaposed on each other.
