She will be in conversation with mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik and psychoanalyst Amrita Narayan about fear, hunger, forests and female seekers in old and new settings.
ARANYAKA (meaning 'of the forest') is a graphic retelling of a minor mythical tale from the Upanishads - that of Yajanavalkaya and his two wives Maitreyi and Katyayani. The tale becomes a vehicle to examine the female eco-consciousness through the protagonist Katyayani's unapologetic and insatiable appetite.
